Squadron 348 Commander's Message:
Happy New Year! Hope you all had a good holiday and that we all have a prosperous new year.
I thought this month I would let everyone know what the Sons of the American Legion is doing with the funds that we raise. Hopefully it will reinforce why you have showed such great support for us at our fundraisers and it will keep you trying to help support us.
Here are just a few.:
Donation to the Post of a large gas grill for steak night and burger day because it wasn’t economical with charcoal
Food and baskets for the Thanksgiving day baskets the Post did
A donation to the Joe Relino Memorial Fund
Two large donations to Brevard County Sheriff and Cape Canaveral Volunteer Fire Department for their Christmas fund for toys for area children.
A donation to the Post to get updated CD’s for Karaoke.
Those are just a few so far. Stay tuned for updates as the months go by and thank you for making these donations possible.
Our dinner this month is on January 25, Mike Gulick is the cook with Grilled pork chops, one of his many specialties. You won’t want to miss this.
I would like to welcome aboard our new members and encourage all of you to renew your membership now if you haven’t yet. We have a ways to go to get 100%. Remember no 2007 membership card...no new key card.
